AYANEO KONKR Pocket Block 165 Gram Retro Handheld Starts At 79 Dollars

AYANEO has unveiled the KONKR Pocket Block, a 165-gram vertical handheld designed for retro gaming on the go. Priced from $79 with a 3.33-inch screen, it sacrifices raw processing power for absolute portability.

During a recent product stream, AYANEO CEO Arthur laid out the specs and price tags for the KONKR Pocket Block, a compact vertical handheld aimed squarely at nostalgic players who want retro gaming without hauling a brick in their pockets.

Tiny Shell, Familiar Internals

Under the hood, the device runs Android 12 on an older MediaTek Helio G85 processor. Up front sits a 3.33-inch 4:3 LCD display pushing a 960x720 resolution at 360 PPI, which gives you crisp retro aspect ratios that actually fit in the palm of your hand. The entire build weighs just 165 grams—roughly the weight of an apple—and packs a 3500 mAh battery to keep things running.

Price Breakdown And Rollout

AYANEO is pitching this tiny machine directly at the entry-level retro market with aggressive introductory pricing that undercuts much of the competition.

The 2GB model will have an early bird price of $79 and a retail price of $89.

For those wanting a bit more headroom, the 3GB model arrives in an "Atoms White" colorway for an early bird price of $99, rising to $109 at retail. For now, AYANEO is selling the device exclusively through its own web store rather than third-party marketplaces.

Chinese buyers get the first batch with shipments starting October 15, while international customers face an end-of-October delivery window. If you order from abroad, expect to spend the final weeks of October watching early reviews while your unit sits in a transit hub. It is a neat pocketable experiment, but you are trading battery longevity and processing muscle for absolute portability.
