The developers behind iMazing have released update 3.6.3, restoring the ability to install IPA files directly onto devices while bypassing the App Store. The key benefit for users is that no jailbreaking or low-level firmware tampering is required. Your smartphone stays completely stock, and the entire recovery process takes just a few minutes.
However, it is too early to celebrate if you do not have the right computer on hand. The workaround relies entirely on Apple's internal CommerceKit framework, which the utility uses to fetch valid digital signatures directly from the user's App Store account. Because of this dependency, the trick currently works only on Macs running macOS 26 or older releases like Big Sur and Monterey. Windows lacks this internal system service entirely, while on macOS 27 the installation hits a hard 403 Forbidden error. The developers have promised to look for a Windows workaround, but they have not provided a timeline.
