Nearly twenty hours of non-stop active screen time — that is the benchmark Xiaomi's Redmi Note 17 Pro Max achieved in PhoneBuff's demanding robotic battery test. The automated mechanical arm ran the handset through its standard continuous loop of apps without any sleep cycles, with the timer finally stopping at 19 hours and 35 minutes. The previous battery champion, the OnePlus 15, lost its crown by a wide margin.

However, software optimization is not the hero here. Xiaomi's engineering team did not reinvent battery chemistry; they simply crammed a massive 10,000 mAh cell into the chassis. To put that in perspective, PhoneBuff's identical test drained the Reno16 F in just 10 hours, the Galaxy A57 bowed out at the 12-hour mark, and the iPhone 17 lasted roughly 14 hours. The endurance gap is undeniable, but getting three days away from a wall outlet comes at the expense of ergonomics: the device is a heavy brick that pulls down pockets and strains the wrist during one-handed typing.
